Go Grey for a Beautiful, Brighter Bedroom.
If you had told me I would be painting my bedroom walls grey I would have thought you was crazy. However, here they are and I love them. Why not go grey for a beautiful, brighter bedroom?
Before, the walls where a dark brown on the bottom and a lighter brown on the top, which was perfect for the driftwood bed and rustic furniture we had before.
However, this year I am all about brighter and lighter. Must be my age or something….I have the need to just de-clutter and freshen up every room in the house, (much to my hubby’s dismay).
I didn’t want plain white walls, more something that would be calming and…just relaxing (since this was for the bedroom). I had already decided to paint the bedroom set white. So I needed something with a little pop, also a color that could be accented easily with seasonal changes. Click here for more on the white bedroom set.
After looking at hundreds of pictures and studying dozens of different color swatch’s in the paint isle at lowes. I finally chose a color.
Grey It was….
The paint I chose was Valspar Signature, High Hiding Paint + Primer. 1 gallon of Gravity and 1 gallon of Polar star.
I am very pleased to tell you that this paint was awesome. Since I was painting over dark brown, I thought for sure I would need to prime first. I was wrong….I decided to see if this paint….since it came with a primer already mixed in, would do the trick.
I am shocked….pleasantly. The coverage was awesome, and only needed 2 coats. There is even a little left….(for a future DIY project).
I absolutely love these colors and since Grey is a neutral color I can accessorize with pops of color depending on the season….or my mood.
My hubby was even impressed, Score!!
