Happy Monday everyone.

I hope Spring has finally sprung where you are, I cannot say the same for here. However, the weather people say Spring WILL arrive in the next couple of days. Maybe, just maybe they have got it right this time.

Upcycled Old Chair Springs

Speaking of Spring, this little project I did as an embellishment  for the Mini Greenhouse I just built. It only took about 15 minutes to make and I absolutely love it.

All you need is a couple of old chair springs, a bit of old wire, a base to secure the springs to, 2 small terra cotta pots and some ASCP. (Annie Sloan Chalk Paint).

You Could use anything you like to mount the springs to, I just happened to have 2 old draw fronts which turned out to be the perfect size.

I first painted the draw fronts with ASCP Duck Egg Blue and the terra cotta pots with ASCP pure white then sealed them with Minwax Dark Walnut.

Decide where you want to mount your springs on the base and drill a couple of holes to thread your wire through. I also drilled  a couple of holes toward the bottom for extra support. Thread the wire through the holes securing your springs to the base.

And that’s it….

What a cheap, easy project, and soooo cute.

I love the way these old springs turned out and I think they compliment my mini greenhouse quite well.

What do you think?
